Introducing Nid: The End of Food Waste?

Why we built Nid, and how it helps you save money and the planet.

We are thrilled to announce the public launch of Nid, the new collaborative inventory app designed for modern households.

The Problem with Pantries

How many times have you bought a bag of spinach, only to find another slimy, unopened bag hidden at the back of the fridge? Or bought milk because you thought you were out, but actually had two liters left?

These small moments of disorganization add up. In fact, the average household throws away hundreds of dollars worth of edible food every year. It's bad for your wallet, and it's terrible for the planet.

Enter Nid

Nid was built to solve this problem without making it feel like a chore.

Shared by Default

Nid is built for teams. Your "team" is your household. When you update the inventory, your partner sees it on their phone. No more "honey, do we need eggs?" texts.

Expiry Awareness

We treat expiry dates as a first-class citizen. Nid sorts your lists by what needs to be eaten first. It gently nudges you when that yogurt is about to turn, so you can eat it instead of tossing it.

A Little Bit of Fun

Let's be honest, inventory management is boring. That's why we added our creatures. Choosing your avatar adds a little bit of personality to the app. Leaving sticky notes on the dashboard makes communication feel less like a transaction and more like a connection.

Getting Started

Nid is free to test for 14 days. You can create your team, invite your family, and start adding items in minutes.

Happy niding!
