Choose Your Storage Setup
Start with your own local data. If you want to use Nid on multiple devices or with other people, sync the folder with a separate app such as Resilio Sync.
Fill Your Inventory
Add the products you actually keep at home and organize them into inventories such as "Pantry", "Fridge", "Freezer", or "Camping Gear". The goal is to make updating stock simple enough that you keep doing it.
Sync the Folder if You Share It
When you use an external folder-sync tool, changes can move between devices through that tool. Nid itself does not run a hosted live-sync service for household members.
Cook with Intelligence
Once your inventory is in shape, it becomes easier to see what you can cook, craft, or assemble from what is already available. That is the practical payoff of keeping inventory current.
Save common items as product records
Keep frequently used products consistent so restocking stays faster.
Add expiry in days
Add items with expiry in days to have Nid automatically calculate the expiry date.
Use external folder sync for sharing
If multiple people need the same inventory, sync the Nid folder with a separate app such as Resilio Sync instead of expecting built-in invites.
