1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Nid application, desktop app, or website (collectively, the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.
These Terms apply together with our Privacy Policy. Your continued use of the Service after updates become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Description of Service
Nid is a collaborative household management platform that provides tools for organizing inventory, tracking items and expiration dates, assigning tasks, maintaining household notes, and communicating with your team. The Service may also include optional add-ons, modules, or automations.
We may modify, enhance, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service at any time. Significant changes will be communicated when applicable.
3. User Accounts
To access certain features, you must create an account and authenticate using supported login providers. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current account information.
- Be responsible for all activity under your account.
- Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- Only create accounts for yourself, unless authorized to administer a household or team workspace.
There is no age restriction for basic use; however, children may only use the Service under guardian supervision.
4. Subscription and Payments
Certain features require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are handled through the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or direct billing providers such as Stripe.
- Subscriptions bill monthly or yearly in advance.
- Apple/Google subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
- Stripe subscriptions may be managed through Nid’s billing settings.
- Taxes and VAT may apply depending on your region.
- Refunds follow the policy of the billing provider (Store or Stripe) unless required by law.
- Prices may change with prior notice for recurring customers.
5. User-Generated Content
You retain ownership of the content you add to the Service, such as items, notes, lists, images, comments, and team messages (“User Content”). By submitting User Content, you grant Nid a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, and display it for the purpose of operating the Service.
You are responsible for ensuring your User Content does not violate laws or third-party rights.
6. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Break any laws or infringe intellectual property rights.
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users.
- Upload malware or attempt to disrupt Service infrastructure.
- Scrape, reverse engineer, or bypass technical protections.
- Use automated tools or bots without permission.
- Share, sell, or sublicense the Service without authorization.
7. Intellectual Property
All rights, title, and interest in the Service — including software, design, branding, features, and content provided by Nid — remain the exclusive property of Nanornia AB. These Terms do not grant you ownership of any part of the Service.
8. Service Availability and Updates
While we aim to provide reliable access, the Service may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or unforeseen issues. Certain features may rely on third-party services (e.g., Appwrite, Apple, Google, Stripe), which we do not control.
You agree that the app may update automatically and that features may evolve over time.
9. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with third-party authentication, billing, hosting, analytics, and communication providers. Use of those services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
Nid does not share your data with third parties except as necessary to operate the Service.
10. Termination of Accounts
We may suspend or terminate accounts that:
- Violate these Terms.
- Engage in fraudulent, harmful, or illegal behavior.
- Remain inactive without an active subscription for more than 2 months.
Upon termination, access to all data and features will cease. You may request data export prior to deletion where legally permissible.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
- Inventory data, reminders, or expiry information will always be accurate.
- Beta features will function reliably.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Swedish law, Nanornia AB shall not be liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
- Loss of data, income, or household inventory accuracy.
- Incorrect or missed expiry notifications.
- Errors caused by third-party services or user equipment.
In all cases, our total liability is limited to the amount paid by you for the Service in the previous 12 months.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and defend Nanornia AB against claims arising from your misuse of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of third-party rights.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. Any disputes will be resolved by Swedish courts.
15. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updates will be posted on our website or within the app. Material changes will be announced within the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
